Greetings from Rockwell Office Staff

We are currently out of the office until mid-August 2025.  Mark your calendars for the following upcoming dates!

• School Supply Fee: $33, due August 15–31 (paid online).

• Community Serve Day:  Sunday, August 27 9am-1pm.  Join us on this special day as local churches, schools, and neighbors team up to get Rockwell ready for the first day of school! Spend a few hours helping with weeding, spreading mulch, touching up playground paint, prepping classrooms, and more. Indoor and outdoor volunteer spots are available—come lend a hand!  Register here to volunteer (Anyone can join!  Parents, kids, siblings, grandparents, neighbors...)
• New Family Playdate: Wednesday, August 28 either 11am-Noon or 7-8pm Meadow Park.  All families who are new to Rockwell are invited to attend!  Bring your kids to play on the playground while you get the chance to mingle with other parents, meet members of the Rockwell PTA Board and get all your questions answered!  

• Meet & Greet: Thursday, August 29 – Meet your new teacher, find your classroom, and learn where to line up on the first day of school.

  • First Day of School:

    • Grades 1–5: Tuesday, September 2 at 9:20am (12:25 release time on T, W, Th due to Family Connection Conferences)

    • Kindergarten: Friday, September 5 or Monday September 8 (Staggered start-- you will be informed which day your child starts school)

• Your child’s birth certificate or passport

• Current immunization records

Families withdrawing should email registrar@lwsd.org with:

• Student’s first and last name

• Student’s birthdate

• Lake Washington school currently attending

• Name of school (public, private, or home) student will attend in the fall
